I work for Leeds City Council as a Manager in the Older People’s Social Housing Team. As I’m sure you can imagine my Team and I work with some of the most vulnerable older people who are finding the current financial crisis very difficult. Please pray for us as we work with them to ensure they have the food, care and support they need.
I am also in an enviable position of being involved in the design and development of new Extra Care schemes in Leeds (a model in between sheltered housing and residential care), there is huge demand and sadly under supply . One scheme is nearing completion and I will take handover of it in mid-June, it will comprise of 60 self contained apartments, 12 bungalows plus extensive communal areas and gardens.
The next few months will be so busy and I ask that you pray for me as I start to recruit the Team for the new scheme, prepare for mobilisation of the service and start to allocate the properties and support residents to start moving in.
