Prayer Room at St Luke's - Wednesday 7th April

Praying isn’t always easy; in fact sometimes it’s really hard! It can be difficult to make time to pray with our busy lives and even when we do find time, often we find our mind wandering or we don’t know where to start! I think this is true for anyone and everyone at some point in their journey with God.

So, this is where a prayer room can help, because you set aside time to spend with God. And when you do this, you can be sure that God delights in your presence; He wants a relationship with all of us, to talk to us, to listen to us and for us to get to know him more and more.

What is a prayer room?

A prayer room is a space set up to help people learn to pray, by praying! St Luke’s will be set up with 8 different prayer activities, all designed to help you pray in different ways: quiet and contemplative, making, different smells and sounds, things to touch etc

When is the prayer room available?

Wednesday 7th April

Anytime between 11am-6pm at St Luke’s

How to book to use the prayer room

To use the prayer room, and to keep the event covid-secure, you will need to book a slot using the link at the end of this paragraph. There is a maximum of 4 people (or family groups) allowed in at any one time, to allow time for sanitising and cleaning between, so please be mindful of this when booking your slot.

Who is it for?

Although the room has been set up with young people in mind, the activities are also suitable for children in school years 5 and 6 as well as adults and it would be so lovely to see any children in these year groups with their families as well as young people and adults.
